When a great home who has one of our dogs wants another, they go to the top of the list. But this time all I had was this great looking male....
This boy was SUCH an easy model. Just plop him down somewhere and he sat STILL long enough to get the shot!
His kennelmate is Mika, Hawkwind's New Moon Rising AX AXJ, sister to Indigo and Madonna, who runs a mean agility course!
So, asking that they let me finish his AKC championship and use him in my breeding program, Siku adds a great force to Hawkwind. Along with being a wonderfully behaved pet nicknamed Mr. Ku!
Perfect earset, gorgeous eyes, and that REAL samoyed smile are just the beginnings of this boy's attributes! Add a stunning shoulder, a GREAT rear, and eye stopping sidegait to go along with his almost perfect proportions, Siku is built for work.
But Siku is SUCH a pussycat!
One comment his owners made: We could have 15 of these if they were this laid back! Temperament....the hallmark of the breed!
His show career went fast .... and well. His owner took him into the ring as a novice. Result: Best of Opposite over specials for a first major! Next time at a specialty....5 point major! (Shown above.) A trip to the national...2nd in Ambred at Denver. So then a weekend locally....Best of Breed over specials BOTH days for two MORE majors! (Shown above...sign is wrong...it was BOB.) A last single point to finish off an EASY show career.
For Siku, shows were just something we played at together, unless his friend Andrea played with him. Life is just FUN.
Siku comes from a litter where all the dogs were named after rocks....Alabaster is a kind of marble, and Carrara is the quarry where the stone used for Michaelangelo's David was quarried. Perfection in form....
As a stud dog he throws his beautiful proportions....here is his son on his way to Grand Futurity at SCA 2005. (Hawkwind's Mont Blanc with friend Linda Kitzman.)

Siku is the littermate of CH Hawkwind's Emerald Jade and CH Hawkwind's Palomino Onyx, and his brother, Hawkwind's Dreams of Malachite NA NAJ HCT-S TDI HI WS. Genetically, all clear eyes and 2 OFA Good's and 2 OFA Excellent. Genetics we are very proud of!
