The next level ...

Feeding Your Samoyed's Soul

This page is for those interested in the holistic and alternative approaches to vibrant health. I don't particularly enjoy ridicule so I kept this info mostly to my own puppy owners or people I trust with it. I'd appreciate it if it's not shared. I let you have it for a reason. Please just ask if you want to share it with someone.

A lot of people coming to this page want to go down to Vibrational Energy Healing or the list of products. At the very end are the natural Bug Spray and Pain Formulas.

Samoyeds are more than just dogs. They are the most psychic race of canines, second only to wolves. Samoyeds can create a psychic field of communication in a pack, and communicate by pictures as all dogs can.

But Samoyeds can go a step beyond that. Some know words.

There is a reason we are drawn to this breed.

Hawkwind Samoyeds

My breeding program has been devoted to creating Samoyeds with the highest psychic ability possible. It involves deep meditation as the puppies come into being, and the choice of the lines and particular dogs who can achieve that objective.

Most of the Hawkwind girls I 've kept are very psychic dogs, to include Topaz, Indigo, Madonna, Jade, Onyx, Electra, and of course, Amethyst herself. Tourmaline is probably the MOST psychic i've encountered.

Energy Fields and Vibration

Samoyeds have more sensitive energy fields surrounding their bodies than most dogs. Thus, they are affected by thoughts, as well as their environment, more than most other dogs and animals. (A lot of cats are psychic.)

Many pets take on the energy issues of their owners, so healing one heals the other.

When you are down, they can uplift you, and vice versa. Of course, love does a lot as well!

To use love effectively, tie into thoughts of those you love deeply, past or present, and let that fill you and flow from you into the animal. People can create a powerful healing circle by all thinking and generating love. It does not have to be love for THAT animal to work.

I could go all night on that topic, but let's get to the salient points of what products help with the energy fields of Samoyeds, how it works, and some more practical things as well.

The Quality of Essential Oils

Quality is the issue here. Many are cut and not pure; far more than you realize. I use mostly Young Living. I adore lavender, put it on my pillow every night, in my lotion at bedtime, spray on my sheets, etc., and have purchased many brands and private manufacturers. There is one I use for bedding, but when using it for healing, I use only Young Living. Burns heal fast with pure lavender. The vibrational levels I want are best found in this brand in my experience.

Note: Lavender is great for around the breasts on humans to open the lymph and as a deterent to breast cancer. To use these therapeutically, you need a very high grade oil. Frankencense is often one of the oils used when breast cancer is diagnosed. PLEASE realize you need a very high quality oil to achieve a more natural state for the body. More on that below. The frankencense in most health food stores is not anywhere near the quality you need.

High quality oils are helpful for:

pain management
depression
cold/flu prevention
sleeping well
antibacterial/antiviral
odor management
immune support

Among many other things.

releasing and balancing emotional issues
aura-cleansing
raising vibrational levels for healing
enhancing the energy fields of pregnant Samoyeds

Precautions in the use of Essential Oils

While most can be ingested, know ones that cannot be. Young Living Idaho Tansy can be, but other companies can and may be poisonous, for example.

Most citrus based oils create photosensitivity on the skin, so keep out of the sun.

Some oils can irritate the nasal lining, such as cinnamon. So use care diffusing or leave the room while you do that. (i.e. Thieves creates a healthier environment due to it's antiviral/antibacterial properties, and it's ability to kill mold. Most people are fine, but diffusing a room to cleanse it before people and pets arrive is safer.) In a sick room, rotate oils, such as lavender, Citrus Fresh, etc. (or Hope, Inner Child, Acceptance is good during death transitions....)

Never use oils in eyes or deep into ear canals.  (There are VERY few exceptions to that rule.) In the eyes accidently, flush with vegetable oil, not water.

Some oils produce contractions and should not be used on pregnant women or bitches. Clary Sage is an example. (It's great for hot flashes though!)

Vibrational Energy Healing

Energy fields show disease before it manifests physically. Many healers can see it. Seeing energy fields is not that difficult, and learning how to open them with your hands is fairly easy as well.  Sensing disease is harder.

Essential oils, and many other tools, are helpful for bringing balance to the bio-energy field. You can use a spray in water, or a drop on your hands run over the field.

Often we experience forms of vibrational energy work without realizing it:

Bad feelings from others can be 'washed away' in a shower.

Going for a walk in the woods opens up greater vitality and can bring peace and the release of unresolved feelings.

Sacral Cranial work allows the spinal fluid to move into a deeper, slower and more healing rhythm.

Once the energy field shifts, healing on the physical can occur faster.

There are certain combinations, and they may be very personal, that help each person/animal open to their highest life force level.

Disease can be an energy imbalance or a chemical imbalance. Actually, it is often both, and the energy is off first. Do you ever feel a 'cold' coming on? Has it ever happened after an emotional shock?

A Shiatsu master taught me years ago that if someone does not process a deep shock, such as the death of a partner, they usually will develop a serious illness in about 18 months.

Vibrational healing does not MAKE healing happen. It opens the energy field to a new and higher level of vitality and allows people/animals to move up to that vibration of health.

Many people are sensitive and try to help others. 'Throwing' energy around, particularly if you don't have a deep spiritual practice yourself, usually is not very efficient, can cause disease itself, and is certainly 'draining.' These people are often identified with the label 'co dependent.'

Keeping your vibrational field higher is a combination of eating well, being emotionally healthy,  meditation or praying to open spiritually, and keeping your vibrational energy bodies in a very high state. Just as a crystal glass in a room can 'ring' and activate all other glassware to it's pitch, so can a healer allow the opening of healing for others.

That resonance factor is why long distance healing work is just as effective as physically present healing for a skilled practitioner.

in each case, the 'subject' of healing has to be willing to move up to the new level. Animals are often ready to do that, unless they are approaching death transitions.

Note: Samoyeds often go into a very fast decline when they decide to leave. Many cancers developed in sammies are very fast moving. Dogs, overall, accept death far better than humans. Please think carefully before you beg a dog to stay if s/he has decided their time is done.

While grief occurs in the entire pack, dogs can cross the boundary and stay in contact beyond the veil of death. Very psychic dogs can sometimes stay around for a long time beyond that veil.

Healing through plants

Now I could go into healing through crystals (employed with the Aura Soma products) or any number of things. But plants are a powerful force for healing.

Think of the 'lift' to your spirit that fresh flowers offer.

Remember walking in a favorite garden and how you felt.

These are ways our vibrational energy fields are affected, brought into balance and harmony, and we feel greater 'life force' or vitality. You can augment this with fresh, organic food. (Canned and microwaved food registers as death on the ORAC scale.) Health can also be helped by essential oils.

Essential oils are the lifeblood of the plants. You can diffuse them into the air, move your hands through a person's aura, put them on the skin, or ingest most of them.

Some oils, such as Parafree, also kill parasites.

Richard Gerber's book Vibrational Medicine opened up the field of energy healing based upon quantum mechanics. He speaks of 'frequencies' of energies that rebalance the body.

Bruce Tainio of Tainio Technology (Washington) developed equipment that measures the bio-frequency of foods and humans; the electrical frequency.

Human Body 62-68 MHz (megahertz)
Abnormal processes start 62 MHz
Cold & Flu start below 58 MHz
Candida (yeast microbes) develop at around 55  MHz
Epstein Barr syndromes start at 52 MHz
Cancers start as the body drops to 42 MHz

James Oschman's book, Energy Medicine, the Scientific Basis talks about 'energetic pharmocology' such as using natural substances from the plant kingdom. (pg. 139)

Simply put, therapeutic doses of higher vibrational energy sources can affect health.

Each essential oil has it's own frequency. Just higher is not better. Higher level energies affect the spiritual realms and connection to 'God.' While that may be very beneficial near death, it's not necessarily for someone trying to release emotional trauma of incest or abuse. (Abuse being animal or human.)

SARA is a Young Living oil designed to help clear Sexual And Ritual Abuse. it works on many levels, but the clearing needs to happen on the physical and mainly emotional energy level. Many of these sorts of deep trauma oils need to be used more than once.

The Basic Energy Fields of Samoyeds & Humans

Healing occurs best on the energy field level before the physical. Here are some of the basic levels:

Etheric level - affects the physical and is a mirror of it. Plants have this as well, and it's called the 'devic' realm that holds the etheric pattern for the physical manifestation to be present in matter. In Samoyeds, it's about 2-4 inches out from the body. (Also in humans.) If you put someone against a white wall and sort of 'squint' your eyes in decent light, you can see the energy field sometimes as color, but usually as a energy or sort of electrical change in the air molecules around the person/animal. If the person is wearing white, you can sometimes see 'shadings' in certain areas. If that is over the heart, they may have a grief issue or not be open to love. Veils of shadow over the face are people who do not want to be seen for some reason. (Often those are the people that you 'just can't remember their name' as well. They are hiding energetically.)

Emotional level - shows the processing of emotion, unresolved issues, and emotional health. This field extends out 8 to 12 inches, and some more outgoing people and good actors may have an even larger emotional field. This level often shows color, and color is a very effective healing tool here. Samoyed emotional energy fields are broader than most other dog species. Wolves do have large fields, as do many other wild canids, but they often have the ability while hunting to close them in as well. People do that in elevators while close to  others they do not know. Essential oils tend to have a dramatic impact on this field as well as color. Let's take an example from the hundreds available: Bergamot facilitates the processing of anger and grief and allows the emotional level to 'relax and let go.' It's a component in many combinations for depression, hopelessness and loneliness. Most of the orange oils (coming from orange fruits) are helpful to open to death transitions. (So is the color orange.)

Mental level - goes out above and around the head up to 2 feet. In meditation it can extend into the Universal Mind of all beings, but that is moving beyond where you can see or sense in this physical universe. When the mind is open and fluid you have clarity, creativity, and inspired thought. When you have conflict and tangled energy you have worry, indecision, and self criticism. If the mental level severely entangles with the emotional level you can have suicidal feelings and thoughts. A few forms of mental illness are energetic. (Many are totally other issues.) If a mental energy field is not very connected to the emotional, you often have someone who found emotions to be scary and at some time in childhood decided safety was at the mental level. These people can seem very emotionally unconnected and even with essential oils one must move slowly to release the years of buried emotional feelings before the mental level is connected once again to the physical and emotional.

Spiritual level - is where higher spiritual truth is accessable. At this level most actions are looked at with generosity, charity and many higher  truths are evident.  This level sees the higher picture, that everyone is doing the best they can even if their childhoods were not perfect.  Pure joy comes in from this level and it can go out several feet from the physical body. In humans there are many levels of development, and in Samoyeds they are very advanced compared to many other domestic animals. (Elephants have more developed spiritual fields as well.)

Chakras: There is so much written on chakras this text will only focus upon a few points related to health and dogs.

Root chakra issues deal with survival issues. Hot spots on a dog's tail indicate a threat to that level, but remember that the blood level is diminished in the extremities of Samoyeds and all arctic breeds for survival. Laviderm from Young Living is excellent for this, but one must deal with why the dog felt threatened on that level.

Sacral center deals with relationships and reproduction mostly.

Solar plexus is the sense of self or individuality. People often have conflicts in this center, and dogs to a lesser degree. Sometimes an aggression issue is an out-of-balance solar plexus center. Also a dog who does not have a good sense of themselves, which may exhibit as shyness or lack of confidence.

Heart center deals with our ability to love and receive love. Samoyeds, overall, have more developed heart centers than humans.  The heart stands between the 3 lower centers which are more connected to this physical world, and the 3 higher centers, which are more connected to the spiritual world.

Throat center deals with the blending of the heart energy going out into the world with the spiritual level, and when in balance is the expression of life purpose. Dogs rarely have issues here, but might have exceptional development here. Working and service dogs often have very balanced throat chakras.

Third eye center - deals with wisdom and vision of the inner world. It's color is indigo blue, and signifies a deeper step into oneness to understand the world. This center is highly developed in Samoyeds, and you see it in humans in spiritual masters and priests. Mother Theresa has a very developed and beautiful Third eye, letting her see the truth in all things.

Crown center - often developed in healers, whether they are dogs or humans. This is our connection to God/Goddess/All That Is. Sometimes this develops through a life threatening illness, and more rarely, as someone approaches death.

There are 3 other main chakras; one above the heart that expresses compassion, one at the base of the skull that connects to the oneness of all things, and one above the crown that is a higher spiritual center.

There are also myriad smaller energy centers throughout the body. In dogs the stronger of the minor ones will be in the paws.

Feeling into the Energy Field

Energy fields have electrical aspects that are easy to feel, and might be hot or cold or charged, for example. To begin to sense them, rub your hands together and as you draw them apart feel the electrical field you generated. Note how that 'feels.' Then since that opens the hand chakras, try to gently move into your dogs energy field looking for  any minute changes.  Ask for direction from your Soul, Higher Self, Holy Spirit, or God. (Or whoever feels high and good to you, such as Christ Consciousness.)

Clearing the Energy Field

Many things help, including intention, but probably the one, best overall, is White Angelica, a Young Living blend.  it has some protection qualities and is great for people and Samoyeds in public places such as dog shows.

Try for intuitive sensing on what you want to clear, but a place to start is lavender for balance, bergamot and orange for joy, cedarwood for mental clarity. To dispel negativity try lemon or rosemary. Valor balances the electrical energy and is good for any spinal alignments needed to bring in healing on any level, including spiritual. (Soul energy moves along the nervous system.) The blend Joy is good for compassion, but I often use that later in a session or further along in healing. (Joy seems to work very well for many who are mentally ill, as well as White Angelica.) Harmony balances the chakras, and is sometimes the key to allow healing to be received.  People or dogs who feel 'trapped' or neglected often respond to this blend.

Here are some other examples:

Clearing the room: Lavender, Cedarwood, Juniper, or Sacred Mountain.

Clearing negative thoughts: Clarity or Peace & Calming.

Fears: Peppermint. (Not too close to the face. With most dogs you never go by the face. They are just too strong.) Peace & Calming.

Abandonment: Lavender.

Grief and heartache: Rose or Joy.

Cancer: Frankencense , Rose.

Remember that sometimes clearing takes time. If there is deep shock from physical trauma (grab Trauma Life!), or death of a loved one, or divorce, the energy fields may be very unresponsive. They can be almost 'bruised' and not moving, almost frozen. This is a normal protection process and can't be rushed. Be respectful. There are still lots of things you can do, most being around compassion, relaxation and peace. (Hope, Inner Child, Gentle Baby, etc.)

Products: Essences & Essential Oils

There are 3 basic things I use. Flower Essences, often for unbalanced emotions, Aura-Soma for energy fields, and Young Living oils which cover both those and more. Bach is at most health food stores or over the internet. Aura-Soma, finding that is hard. I am a consultant, but even I have some problems getting it. Young Living I use every day; morning to night.  It is a multilevel, so it's 24% cheaper if you belong. But if there is a small order you'd like to try, I'll give you my discount and drop ship to you if you wish.

Bach Flower Essences.

Most people know about Rescue Remedy, which is a combination of several remedies. There are 38 remedies. See them at http://www.bachflower.com/

There are 7 major areas. You might start there. Here are a couple examples, but as you get used to them, you can see how they work and even use them in combination. These are great for emotional issues the dogs have in dealing with us or each other. Don't think of it as a one time fix, although that might work. If I identify a basic issue I may use it a few times a day for weeks.

Vine. For a dog who has his/her own opinions and is inflexible on them. Can be aggressive or stubbornly unwilling to give up an idea. Vine creates flexibility.

Larch. For a dog who lacks confidence in their decisions. Often they go back and forth and then don't do anything, or retreat. There are other remedies for fear responses, but Larch works for a stronger energy field and sense of self for the dog.

Centaury. For a dog overly interested in pleasing. Dogs who can use Centaury have very sensitive energy fields and almost 'read' what it is you want and anticipate it. Some will begin to do things off the 'thought' you have of it. There is often a feeling of being a bit 'out of sync.'

Walnut. For myself I use Walnut to get through the long nights of whelping puppies. Walnut is essential the day a puppy goes to a new home, or any large change in life. I often put some in the water for the pack the day puppies are born. It's for all transitions in life.

Star of Bethlehem. Shock; emotional or physical. This is the first thing many puppies get in my home the moment they are born. I use it when the dewclaws are done as well.

Sweet Chestnut, for death as in the loss of a puppy. I use this for myself and the pack.

Chicory. For myself when I have trouble letting a puppy or dog go to another home.

Water Violet. For a dog who is shy and wants to be closer in relationship, but has an unsureness about how to go about it. Often good for young puppies in the 5-8 week age.

Crab Apple. For overly fastidious dogs.

Chestnut bud. A dog who keeps making the same mistake in training. This facillitates change, so if you're proofing an obedience dog, this may help. This sort of dog is 'on automatic' regularly.

Cherry Plum for death. Helps both the dog and the human and the pack. Also Star of Bethlehem for shock in death, and Walnut for the ability to go on (for those left on this side).

Bach remedies are very user friendly and have almost no negative side effects.  I keep all of mine in the fridge.

Aura-Soma.

This is a company from England based upon colour therapy. The products are harder to get than they used to be. The basic oils over water were given in meditation, and many are specifically for diseases as well as emotional issues. Much of that information is hidden and almost unable to be found. I was trained by an old time teacher so got a lot of the info.

The basic text in America is Aura-Soma: Healing Through Color, Plants, and Crystal Energy by Irene Dalichow and Mike Booth.

The 3 basic products, and a sampling of Aura-Soma products for Samoyeds.

Equilibrium works ON the body.
Pomanders for near energy fields up to 6 inches out from the body and for the chakras.
Essences are for  the outer energy fields, up to 18 inches out from the body.

Equilibrium 0. Spiritual Rescue. For spiritual awakenng, depression, or death.
Equilibrium 1. For physical pain. This literally 'vibrates' the issue causing the pain out of the body, who while it gives pain relief, it supports moving through the issue that caused the pain to begin with.

Deep Red Pomander. Upon birth to activate life force energy. To help during illness if access to life force energy will help. To get puppies nursing. On feet, it helps the dam, and her owner. I actually use it while driving late to a dog show. Not to be used shortly before sleep. Deep red is very grounding.

Pink Pomander. Clears all negativity and opens the way for unconditional love. Softens and sweetens all. Every dog likes this one.

Green Pomander. Opens up time and space. Good during whelping.

Orange Pomander. For shock. Death. Puppy dewclaws. This seals the energy field. Often in deep grief the essence of a person move 'left' out of the body. This makes it safe for them to come back to their body.

White Pomander. For any healing.

Serapis Bey. The Clear White Essence. Opens up the energy field and thus clears negative thinking and headaches caused by thought. Most energy fields 'collapse' in worry or grief, and this opens them. (I actually can do this for people long distance and with hands. It takes a bit of skill, but a lot of people can learn it hands on.)

Note regarding color. Your energy field 'eats' up certain colors, and your 'favorite' color is the one most eliminated. You are trying to 'feed' it to yourself. Yellow is the desire for individuality, blue being wanting to see the oneness in all things. Think of it as the blue sky of all, and the single SUN of birth of the individual. Turquoise is the need to get life purpose out to the world.

Young Living Essential Oils

The lifeblood of plants was the first medicine. Egyptian heiroglyphics and the ancient Chinese texts speak of them. Each oil has a 'frequency,' which is on the ORAC scale and scientifically measured. It's the electrical energy rate between 2 points.

Some oils are better for the physical level, some emotional, and some spiritual. (See above for more detail.)

The human body runs about 62-68 MHz.
Cold symptoms begin at 58 MHz.
Cancer begins at 42 MHz.
Death begins at 25 MHz.

A lot of diseases have a frequency. Raising one's frequency in every day life can be done by laughter, being open minded and open hearted. It can also be done by taking essential oils at higher rates internally, inhalation, on the skin,  into the energy field, or diffusing in the air.

I use 3 drops of lemon and 3 drop of grapefruit in a gallon of water in my fridge.  Sometimes I use peppermint, which is 78 MHz, and very 'cooling.'

For my sams....and other things. (I'll start with the oils in the Start Living with Every Day oils kit, and some of the more elaborate oils later on.)

Valor

For dog shows on the feet. Helps instill courage, confidence, and self esteem. Helps the body self correct its balance and alignment.

For courage during whelping. On the spine to help opening and alignment.

On a bruise to help healing and reduce trauma to the area.

After any traumatic event, usually on the feet, to align and balance the bodie's electrical energies.

Balances electrical fields.

Applied to the feet, it helps enhance the effectiveness of the other oils.

Valor is low on the ORAC scale to work on the spine and physical. 47 MHz.

Peppermint

A drop in the water in summer is very cooling, especially when traveling and at summer dog shows. Be careful as it's very strong.

It also chases ants away, either diluted or 'neat.' You will SEE them go the other direction away from the oil. Put some on a cotton ball to stop mice, rats, and cockroaches where they enter.

One drop internally soothes digestion.

4-6 drops in palms, rubbed together, and over the belly for diarrhea, indigestion, flatulence. Also for humans for heartburn.

One the bottom of pads to lower temperature. Or during summer.

Diffused to help mental acuity and concentration during whelping. Just inhaling is invigorating and helps mental recall. (Cedarwood helps at higher altitudes as it brings more oxygen to the brain.)

Topically it can stop itching on unbroken skin. (For broken skin, use Melrose.) Peppermint is soothing for poison ivy or oak.

Add one 15 ml. bottle to a 5 gallon can of paint to dispel fumes.

Peppermint and Purification works diluted on aphids.

Use one drop of Peppermint on a q-tip to apply to the head of a tick to help it's withdrawal.

Peace & Calming

Diffusing after whelping for a deep sense of peace.

Great for the bottoms of feet for rescue dogs, or any overactive dog (or child). Helps anyone sleep.

A drop on each foot when puppies go to their new home. (Also Gentle Baby on the coat....just one drop. Very lightly!)

Great for traveling sprayed on the crate pads in a light dilution.

Essential during 4th of July for some dogs.

P & C is great to help hyperactive kids getting off ritalin.

Purification

This has some of the most powerful antiseptic, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and sanitizing properties. Kills anaerobic bacteria.

Neutralizes poison from bee stings, spider bites and hornets/wasps stings.

Diffused for 'doggy' smell in the house. On cotton balls on the vents in the car when traveling.

Sprayed on crate pads at shows to keep healthy from pathogens in the air.

On blisters to sanitize and cleanse.

On insect bites to cleanse and stop itching.

To help clear cysts or skin eruptions.

Mix with V-6 Vegetable oil on a cotton swab inside the ear for ear mites.

Frankincense

With Lavendar, palms rubbed, and placing by dogs for calming. (Us, too!)

Frankincense is the best for cancer. In dogs or humans.

Add Frankincense to a raindrop technique for respiratory or immune issues.

With Idaho Balsam Fir for mood elevating and meditation.

Frankincense, Idaho Balsam Fir, and Lavender for joint health.

Panaway

For pain topically. Joint pain, cruxiate tears, sore muscles.

At the base of the spine for back pain.

Alleviates symptoms of sciatica, relieves bone pain, arthritis and rheumatism. Promotes healthy circulation.

Thieves

Diffuse for 15 minutes to protect the household. Good after dog shows. Or for mold (diffuse longer), or the common cold.

One drop to support healthy gums.

Can be taken internally in a capsule as an antioxident.

Good if something 'bad' or spoiled was eaten. Drops down the throat.

Sprayed on bedding in light dilution for mites. (Our beds especially! Before putting the clean sheets on.)

Lemon

Diffused for dog odors.

In water during the winter.

A drop on your hands if the dog show bathroom is not sanitary enough.

1- 2 drops can remove gum, oil or grease spots. (It's a great cleaner. Try it on counter top stains that nothing else can get off.)

Lavender

Most widely used and healing oil.

Cleanses minor cuts, and is great for burns.

Can relieve motion sickness; teeny drop end of tongue, around navel and behind ears.

Good for skin irritations, and on the vaginal area of the bitch after whelping.

A teeny bit on the bridge of muzzle might unblock tear ducts.

On dry or chapped pads.

Reduces or minimizes scar tissues after c sections, spays or surgeries. Use on and around the area.

A couple drops acts as a deodorant for humans. (Young Living deodorants help open the lymph system, and are reactivated several time daily just with a little cold water. )

Soothing and calming. Diffuse in whelping room towards the end. Great for a drop on the pillow to sleep after the puppies arrived! On MY pillow!

That is the end of the first Start Living with Essential Oil list. Following are ones more specific for dog situations.

Trauma life

Calming and grounding, heps purge stress and let go of trauma. TL also contains oils to uplift us, so works as well for death as birth. During death use it on the third eye. Birth on the feet.

With puppies, on the paws.

Helps to achieve emotional balance. Even just inhalation after a trauma is helpful.

Can be used on the spine and during Raindrop Technique.  92 MHz.

Gentle Baby

A wonderful blend that is light and pleasant. A drop rubbed lightly on puppy coats as they go to homes. Also regularly during birth and babyhood.

Great for expectant mothers & newborns!

Relieves stress during pregnancy and birthing.

Gentle baby has wonderful skin regeneration properties, as good as Lavender.

Great for diaper rashes or puppy shingles, but so is Lavaderm.

Lavaderm Cooling Mist

Relieves burns from sunburn to 3rd degree burns. Good for chaffing or scrapes. Soothes the skin. Great on the tummy for pregnant people or dogs.

Emotionally balancing. Promotes tissue regeneration.

White Angelica

One of THE most important oils in my personal tack box.

Wards off bombardment of negative energy.

Emotionally cleansing.

Increases the size of the aura, so brings relaxation and a sense of strength and protection.  Great for dogs, kids, anyone.

Brings a greater awareness of one's potential. Essential for the show ring.

May help with depression and personally I've seen it help with mental illness. (Not canine rage.)

Use around the shoulders and head and crown chakra.

Avoid exposure to direct sunlight on skin exposed to this oil for 3-6 hours.

Balance with Valor, Protect with White Angelica.

En-R-Gee

One drop around head/coat or on feet. Improves one's energy in a natural  and comfortable way. Helps mental alertness.

Inner child

Helps one resonate with their own identity which is a first step to emotional balance.

Great after any abuse, or for rescue dogs.

Do not expose skin to sunlight for 12 hours.

Harmony

This and White Angelica are the greatest balancers of the energy fields. Valor on the physical.

Harmony should be applied to the third chakra and the throat/thymus. Hold to balance. Can be applied on EACH chakra.

Helps open the 7th chakra and balances the electrical fields of the body.

Can be used as a perfume.

A good base for any other oils that work on balancing emotions.

Do not use during pregnancy. 101 MHz.

Immupower

For fighting illness, particularly cancer. (also use frankincense.)

Strenthens the defense system. Helps to overcome minor flus, colds, infections.

For protection from a chemical environment, or during cold season.
Supports the energy fields. Can be alternated with Thieves on the feet.

Can be used on throat, spine, etc.

Do not use during pregnancy.

Believe

For show  and performance dogs. Calms the spirit and focuses the mind.

Grounding and empowering, yet promotes action towards a goal.

Acceptance

If the dam is having trouble making the shift to motherhood.
Helps to accept new things.

Beneficial in overcoming denial or procrastination, and develop feelings of security.

Parafree

Parasites are everywhere and in everyone. This is a combination of anti parasitic oils.

Contains Idaho Tansy, which is highly regarded for expelling worms. (Other companies Tansy may not be edible! Do not substitute a cheaper oil.)

There are literally dozens of other things i use sparingly (Hope for early pregnancy, Into the Future for long dog show circuits....), but I think I covered the basics.

For dams & puppies.

Star of Bethlehem
Trauma Life
Gentle Baby
Lavaderm
White Angelica
Harmony

Those are critical. I diffuse different things. Dogs noses are very sensitive and I rarely go near the face unless i'm trying to open tear ducts or putting Purification in the ears.

A lot of what to have is intuitive for individual dogs. It's not that hard as you get used to using these things. They 'call out' to  you.

The Bug Recipes

Dogs appreciate natural sprays. If you are using it a lot, a base of organic catnip tea is great, but might spoil easier than water if you're storing them longterm in the fridge.

To buy all these oils at first seems expensive, and it is, but you'll use them forever. These are safe and natural oils, and stored in a cool, dark place, you'll never run out. They are not as strong as chemical sprays, so you may want to reapply more often. That isn's tragic as they smell great!

Here is what I call the 'Alaskan Blend' shared by Annella Cooper of Orkdomain Samoyeds in Eagle River.

      Cedarwood Oil

      Citronella Oil

      Eucalyptus Radiata Oil

      Peppermint Oil

      Pine Needle Oil

      Rosemary Oil

      Sage Oil

      Sweet Orange Oil

      Tea Tree Oil

Mix about 3 drops of each with water in a 16 oz container.  The container
will have to be shaken each time it is used.

Another addition is Purification, which works well all by itself. Just put a few drops on your hand, rub together, and rub over your dog's coat only to the ears.

Pure peppermint and the ants will run away.

Comment on bug use:

I live in Florida and have found the Thieves Household Cleaner to be extremely effective against those nasty Palmetto bugs (big cockroaches) we get here. I keep some of it sprayed around my baseboard in my house (just like the exterminators do) and then I spray a few squirts on any that I see along the way. I started using it when they first started making it and have reduced the amount of chemicals in my home as well as kept the bug problem under control. I love that stuff too.

Parvo Post

thank you, thank you , thank you, Frodo Baggins has made a full
recovery, he was diagnoised with parvo on wednesday, about 4:30pm he
was given 250mm of water stuff in the vets office, then they said to
give him 250mm twice a day till he felt better,we came home and
started the oils and then gave him the other 250mm that night, then
thursday he was getting 125mm of antibiotic fluids every two hours,
plus we put thieves, oregano, w/ olive oil on his pads every two
hours, with di-gise on his tummy for nausea, we did this on the first
day, he was lifting his little puppy head, and trying to get up and
walk around,on Friday we gave him two of the IV one in the am and one
in the afternoon, and the oils but we also added melrose on his
pads,we had put a few drops of NR, 1/4 tablet vit c in a small shot
glass, and gave him a dropper every 4 hrs, he was still going pee
really good so we were hopefull, I was sleeping on the couch to keep
an eye on him, wellllllll.... about 4:20 in the morning he hopped
up on the couch and woke me up, (I think to tell me he just pee'd on
the rug :), he was licking my face and everything, Our family is so
happy we don't care if he wet the rug or not ;), thank you so much
for your fast reply, don't know if your knew this or not but if a
small child is exposed to parvo virus they can get what is known as
fifths disease, which is not a pretty illness, my younger son came
down with this right after we moved into this house 7 yrs ago,
Doctors didn't tell me any of this I found this out yesterday after
reading your and others posts, Thanks once again the Shapuras
family, and Frodo Baggins (shit-ziu)

Ear formula (yeast in ears)

1 cup aloe juice
1 cup witch hazel
3 tbs apple cider vinegar
(organic is best of course when choosing a brand)
5 drops lavender oil
10 drops purification oil
15 drops of melrose (melrose is great for fighting yeast!)
You may choose to make the recipe smaller as far as 1 cup of both top ingredients and/or adding or subtracting some essential oils.

While this is designed for ears, it works on other places as well. If on the face: Apply this just under the eyes, not above b/c you don't want it to run into the eyes. (This info was for someone with a dog's face who had an infection.)

You can also be giving things to boost immunity (wolfberries, immupower-one drop in food/meal) and use 'yeast fighting' essential oils, such as melrose, etc (I assume you have an EODR?) and give internally (one drop in food per meal). The only oils not to give internally would be neroli and jasmine or blends with them in it. This is actually a recipe for yeast in the ears of a dog, but I thought it would help your case as well. You can always just rub melrose under the eyes a few times a day.
