Legislation or why Animal Rights must be stopped.
There is a large contingent, both groups and individuals, dedicated to ending our relationship with pets.
In fact, they are interested in stopping all relationships with animals, including dog shows, zoos, riding horses, hunting, eating meat, etc.
These people feel that keeping pets is a form of slavery. They feel it is an 'abomination' that we have created breeds of dogs, cats, rabbits, etc., to keep in love in our homes.
The hard core groups and individuals sometimes keep their real agenda hidden, but it is our job to expose them.
These groups believe animals are better off dead than enslaved.
One group, PETA, kills most (80-95%) of the animals surrendered to them. www.petakillsanimals.com Their activists also release animals from crates at dog shows as they feel that dogs are better off dead than caged.
PETA is on record for donating to the legal defense of terrorists such as Rodney Coronado, convicted of arson. PETA announced the terrorist activities of ALF (Animal Liberation Front) to the press. They claim not to DO illegal activities, but announce the actions of, and legally support those who do.
Another group, HSUS (Humane Society of the United States), has NO shelters and is not a Humane Society in the traditional sense of the word. They are not a government agendy. They have no affiliation to your local Humane Society, which actually DOES use your donations to feed and help find homes for animals. So what does HSUS do with their millions? www.activistcash.com Most of their $$ goes to fundraising and to promote legislation to stop the relationships we have to animals by making it increasingly more expensive and difficult to keep animals.
HSUS was originally an animal welfare organization. It was taken over by hard core Animal Rights from inside their structure. What do the hard core AR's want?
"ISAR's primary mission is amelioration of the surplus dog and cat population, one major cause of which is breeding. Not "unnecessary" breeding, or "backyard" breeding but all breeding, by whomever done and for whatever reasons." Henry Mark Holzer, International Society for Animal Rights
We are in a fight to save our breeds. This fight is in the arena of public opinion and in the arena of legislation. Beyond breeders, 'we' are hunters, anyone who eats meat, wears leather, raises animals, or goes to a zoo or horse race.
What is Animal Rights as opposed to animal welfare?
http://www.ncraoa.
In the past couple decades it was targeted by the hard core Animal Rights groups, who took over their organization. At this time the President of HSUS is the most radical of AR activists, and steering the organization to total animal liberation; NO animals kept in relationship to humans.
HSUS is positioned and dedicated to legislate pets out of existence.
HSUS takes your money and pretends it is a shelter.
HSUS does not have one shelter.
If you want your donation to go to help the care of animals, please find your local shelter.
The Animal Rights agenda is to end the human, animal relationship.
(to see the agenda and some quotes, go to wethepeopleusa.us and click on Animal Rights Agenda)
Any 'in between' programs are just steps in their overall agenda. JP Goodwin, a high school dropout with a long list of criminal convictions, celebrated the release of minks who were trampled to death or killed, and a slaughterhouse arson fire with comments such as, "We're ecstatic!" JP Goodwin is now in a key position with HSUS. He was a spokesperson for ALF, Animal Liberation Front, the extreme terrorist organization.
The FBI named Animal Rights extremism as the #1 internal terrorist threat in this country.
Friends do not let friends donate to HSUS, PETA, AHA, ASPCA.

Children & Dogs
Breed Specific Legislation or BSL
Our dogs are being forced into hiding by campaigns that capitalize on events in the media, or situations that are amplified or politically spun by the Aristas to make more laws. Dogs have always bitten children who approached them inappropriately. In a more agricultural upbringing children learn about animals. Our urban society doesn't allow children to learn how to approach dogs or other animals.
The situation for pitbulls is worse now. They became the 'dog du jour' by the criminal element of inner cities, instead of the Rottweiler, Doberman or German Shepherd Dog of the past decades.
At a recent town meeting it was explained that the dogs, mostly pitbulls, are sometimes starved, chained, not allowed human companionship and care, and then fed methamphetamine. How could they not be violent?
BSL (breed specific legislation) is an attempt to outlaw certain breeds of dogs ostensibly because they are 'naturally vicious.'
The Animal Rights hard core groups stated years ago they would start BSL and just add breeds. In Dublin, Ireland in 2007 11 breeds were banned. In Denver, CO, pitbulls were to be registered, and then they outlawed them. Imagine an Animal Control officer coming to your home to kill your dog who has done nothing, and because you actually were legally registering your dog? 1100 dogs have been killed in Denver.
BSL is simply a step to take pet dogs out of existence within the larger Animal Rights Agenda.
Legislative update: MN bill coming early in 2008, sponsored by Representative Lesch to outlaw/ban STATEWIDE these 5 breeds of dogs, and ANY crosses of them:
Akitas, chows, wolf hybrids, rottweilers and pitbulls.
In St. Paul, of the 7221 registered dogs, 1898, or over 25%, are of one of these breeds.
That means Representative Lesch wants to kill 25% of the pet dogs in St. Paul, MN.
Please email me at hawkwindsams@cs.com to learn how to register an objection to this proposed bill and be informed on it's movement toward law.
